Arsenal shares the YMCA’s goal of putting Christian principles into practice through soccer programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all, our impact is felt when an individual makes a healthy choice, when a mentor inspires a child and when a community comes together for the common good. We consider all those that take part; either playing, being a supportive parent, coaching, refffing, etc as a member of our Arsenal FamilY!
Arsenal Recreational Soccer League centers around introducing the game and its fundamentals while having fun! Arsenal Rec Soccer is for children aged 4 to 15, boys and girls. The league is divided into age groups (U6 “Under Six”, U8, U10, U12 and U15) and gender. When a child can play with against their own gender as well as against other children their own age this greatly improves that players development. Basic skills of the game are developed through games and activities. Every child is required to play at least one half of every game. Sportsmanship and values are also key components of this league. We begin all games with a prayer and end with a handshake. At the YMCA and on the soccer field we are dedicated to promoting sportsmanship, honesty, caring, respect and responsibility!
The registration fee is all inclusive and covers your players jersey (Arsenal Adidas), the players registration through GYSA, the players season ending award and party for the team and their families in both the spring and fall.
REGISTERING NOW / Spring season will kickoff early March and we will be registering players up until then. Sigh up before February 26th to avoid a late fee.
Parents can indicate any preference of coach, teammate or practice day (Mon, Tues or Thurs) or time (5:30 or 6:30) on their registration form.
If you are interested in volunteer coaching please contact the league director Chase Watterson @ 706.506.3562 for more information on how to get involved.
