The YMCA of Rome and Floyd County has been involved with soccer as far back as 1980. Our program has evolved from a handful of kids on a patch of grass by the 2nd Ave YMCA to over 500 players on 50 teams that play on over 20 fields at the Grizzard Park sports complex. We play soccer at the recreational, academy, select and adult levels and always strive to develop character in youth and have fun!

The mission of our program is to put Christian principles into practice through a soccer program that builds a healthy spirits, minds and bodies for all. By nurturing the potential of every child and teen, improving our communities health and well-being, and supporting and serving our neighbors, Arsenal Soccer Club ensures that it’s families have the opportunity to become healthier, more confident, connected and secure. On and off the field our staff and volunteer coaches are dedicated to teaching and living the example of our core values: caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

Our program includes pre-k, recreational, academy and select soccer for four to nineteen years of age that play in age and gender specific leagues. Our recreational league centers around participation and having fun!

All children are required play at least half the game. We begin all games with a prayer and end with a handshake. At the YMCA and on the soccer field we are dedicated to promoting sportsmanship, honesty, caring, respect and responsibility!
